Hello all Lee Van Cleef fans. (I am a new member).
I am 57 years old and have been a fan of LVC as far back as I can remember.
I am curious as what might be the average age of his fans. I am wondering if we are all ancient
or if he might have a new and younger fan base.

Hi Gary, welcome to the forum! Apologies for the quietness and late response. Fans range from all ages, but it's usually the folks who have watched the Westerns in the 60s first-hand.

I tried to make this forum the "main" LVC forum, because of ease of use. But unfortunately people rarely switched over.

THere is another LVC forum called the badnet which is more "happening." I don't visit it so I don't know how the activity is there these days.

Nice to hear from you. Actually I wish I was more computer literate because I would have liked my post to handle replys like a poll. I thought though that everyone who read my post would reply with their age and maybe how long they have been a fan of VC. I am always amazed at how many young people I have met who really don't know much of Lee Van Cleef, Lee Marvin, or Charles Bronson yet they seem to know a lot about James Coburn. These four are my all time favorites. Well, 4AM comes quick, so I guess it is time to hit the sack.

There are quite a few young Spaghetti Western fans out there who of course know Lee, but unfortunately, I've also met my fair share of frustration regarding people who don't know Lee. I've met film students who haven't even seen The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly let alone know who Lee is. It's frustrating for fans to encounter ignorance regarding their favorite, but somehow it brings people together when they do encounter like-minded fans. I've "met" quite a few cool people because of Lee, so to speak.

Lee was never extremely well-known in the US. That's one major market that somehow missed him. In Europe, many people know him. This forum is meant to help Lee become more well-known. I hoped to make it more reachable. Hopefully, it'll get there one day.
